Tuesday 25th March 2014, David Walker gave a talk on the Story of Refurbishing Scruton Station, an illustrated account of all the activities that have brought the station to its current beautiful condition.

He also advised proposals for its official inclusion as an occasional halt as part of the 2015 operating season and beyond. A launch event was timed to coincide with the 60th Anniversary of its closing to passengers on 26th April 1954.
