Battery Storage Scheme

NYC have received a pre-application request for a Screening Opinion* on a proposed development of a Battery Storage Facility on land north of Fence Dike Lane. The scheme borders on Scruton parish but falls wholly or mostly within Kirkby Fleetham with Fencotes. KFF Councillors have expressed no objections in principle but have raised several concerns. * Editor’s Note – A ‘Screening Opinion’ is a statement from a planning authority that determines if an Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) is required before a formal Planning Application is submitted.
