Community Liaison Group

With the prospect of a solar farm development due to take place on our doorstep, a suggestion has been made that Scruton residents may form a ‘Community Liaison Group’ with the following aims:

• To create a channel for open dialogue to take place directly between the developer and the community.
• Minimise the impact of the development on the village and any disruption to village life, especially during the construction phase.
• Maximise any benefits for the village via a ‘community benefit fund’.

We believe that an independent and impartial community led group, working in consultation with the Parish Council, could play a constructive role towards a positive community impact. If you are interested, please contact either Janet Crampton or Stephen Elmer.
