Memorial to Chris Snell
A tree has been planted and a bench installed at the Yorkshire Arboretum at Castle Howard by Chris’ colleagues and friends. This long-lasting poignant reminder is in recognition of Chris’ work in Plant Health. The flowering cherry tree (Prunus Kursar) and bench are marked with a plaque and are both located in the Woodland Garden (Area 32G3).
The arboretum is set in a landscape of parkland, lakes and ponds and is the backdrop for a collection of more than 7,000 trees from around the world. If you visit Castle Howard, or the Arboretum this summer, do pop in and have a look.
