An application (Ref. 20/02813/SCR) has been submitted by Lightrock Power to Hambleton Planning department on 11 December 2020 for a solar farm on land between Leeming Bar and Scruton. The timeline for the proposed development is understood to be as follows:
November 2020 – Planning, research & reports
January to February 2021 – Consultation, online exhibition and feedback
Late Summer 2021 – Construction subject to planning consent
Late Autumn 2021 – Energy harvesting begins

It should be stressed that this is preliminary information; it is understood that an online exhibition and further public information should be available to the public from 11 January 2021.
